Welcome to the final lesson of my FREE 9 lesson online coupon class.
Assignment #1 – Leave a comment on how you plan on giving back.
Giving back is something that is not always easy to do especially in tough financial times. However, by using coupons, stockpiling, and getting all those great deals at retailers we can often get items for FREE (or even be paid to buy items). My challenge for you this week is to think about how you can give back. Here are my thoughts on possible ways:
- Collect all the FREEBIES (both food items and non food items) and then donate them to a local charity.
- Send expired coupons to our troops.
- Send shoe boxes to Operation Christmas Child.
- Leave an expiring coupon by a product in a store.
- Share your enthusiasm about couponing with your family, coworkers, and neighbors.
Assignment #2 – Leave a comment that suggests places to donate all those FREEBIES.
Assignment #3 – Reflect on the last 9 lessons.
Have you learned anything new? As this course comes to a close, I would love to hear from you about your experiences with this course.

I have just started couponing and plan on giving any freebies I get that I won’t use to the local homeless shelter, yesterday I was able to get some free nail polish and can imagine that a homeless woman would love the ability to paint her nails
Since this class has started, I have given to my churches food drive. They collect for the local FISH/United Way food/clothing bank. Whatever I can get for Free or at a low cost that I already have extra of, I donate on Sundays when the children and I go to church. They love couponing and then knowing that we can put it in the box at church to give to others. Thanks for this course and sorry that it has to end so soon. Looking forward to you starting it again. I will use it as a refresher next time.

I will start leaving coupons about to expire that I know I won’t use by the items in the stores. I have enjoyed your classes. I learned more about how to “work the deals”. My daughter says she thinks I’m now addicted.
Thanks for the lessons you have taught us.
I work in a public library, so I am starting a coupon club so I can share what I’ve learned with others. Thank you so much for providing so much information.
I still have not been able to obtain anything for free but i do leave coupons in the stores that i shop at especially if its expiring soon and i have no need for them. I have also shared my coupons with my freinds and co workers and have joined many coupon trains and already signed up to send my expired coupons to the troops.
But if you can go over building a stockpile with free or close to free items that would be great. Living in northern California we dont get a chance to do that because we dont get to many great deals. Bummer.
thanks for all your work
Thank you for all your help and good ideas on couponing. Since everything is going up in price everywhere, I will be couponing much, much more from now on. I’ve learned so much useful information & plan on putting it to use. Thanks again.
I usually try to leave coupons for other people at the store when they are about to expire and I know I will not be able to use them by that date, so I’m glad to see that others do or will do that as well.
I think that is an awesome service to our troops to give them coupons and the thought never even crossed my mind. I also think it’s great they can accept expired coupons. I will definately be sending some to them in the future.
Thanks again for doing this class for us. I really appreciate it and have better organized my storage areas (part of my New Years resolution) for stockpiling.
Just realized I needed left out some answers. I think it’s great to send expired coupons to troops, so I will be doing that. Also, local charities will get any overflow of free items I acquire as they are greatly needed nowadays. I will also leave more coupons at the stores so someone might benefit from them.
Hello,
I have learned a lot of new things! and I thank you so very much! I will send the expired coupons to the troops, leave a coupon that is about to expire on the grocery store shelf and give to a local shelter as I plan on doing this long term. My family was getting desperate since I have been laid off over a year ago and I love the fact that I can do something legal, honest and rewarding to get my family back on our feet! I totally get what you have taught me and AGAIN THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
I want to thank you very much for your coupon class. I thought I was a pretty good coupon advocate until I saw extreme couponing on tv! I have learned some new tricks from your class and am very appreciative for it. I will hopefully be saving a lot more money in the not too far distant future. Thanks again.
I started to extreme coupon because I was told medically that I cannot work and that leaves my husband’s income to pay all the debts as well as try to purchase groceries. I wanted a way to help us to be able to not have to live week to week wondering if I had enough food in the house to feed us. I want to be able to be like the women I see on TLC and be able to stockpile so that we never have to worry about where our next meal is coming from…and can save enough to replace the vehicles we so need to replace as they’re eating up our budget just in maintenance costs. My intention, however, of learning these lessons on couponing is to teach them to others in my family and to aid my family (5 different households) in whatever way possible with my coupons and finding deals. I only wish to stockpile what is necessary, not to go overboard (stock up 8 rooms in my house) or whatever, with things that we really don’t need or use just because they’re something I have a coupon for. But, I have asked my family members to make me a list of things that they use so that I can utilize my coupon savy to help them to stockpile the things they need and use as well. I also intend to use some of my stockpile (when I finally gain one) to aid the local women’s shelter here in my town. Those are my ways of paying back and paying forward.

I belong to The Salvaton Army Church. My husband works for the church and my mother is a case worker in one of our food pantries. My first thought when I came across the show extreme couponing was “Awesome I finally found a way I can afford to give way more to my church and our food pantry than I had previously been able to do!” I saw you on Fox 41 today and came straight to your site! While the extreme coupon show is interesting I have learned more here in 10 minutes than all the show I have watched put together. Thank you so much!
Thanks for suggesting we post places to donate and providing the space to post it.
The Salvation Army is much more than a lot of people think. We do the red kettles, angel tree, toy giveaway and food giveaway at Christmas time. But we are a year round help organization. The money you put in the kettles at Christmas is for our year round social services program. We provide aid and our canteen at fires/diasters, we have a food pantry and so much more that it can’t all be listed here. If you need a place to donate your freebies remember The Salvation Army, I’m not listing which one I belong too because there are units in every community and they all need help (just praying some of you are in our area). Thanks again for allowing the postings here.
I clip coupons for my friend and daughter .. my friend uses pull ups..my daughter has 9mth old and is due in sept… I will send my exported ones ocer to the troops just tell me how thank u so much I have learned alot god bless u in every way
I have recently began to send my expired coupons to our military personnel overseas through many different programs. Also when I’m shopping, if I see a a person looking at a particular product and I’m not using them, I will give them coupons from my binder whether or not it is expiring soon. I love helping people. They would normally ask me if I want something and I just tell them to pay it forward. ITS A GREAT FEELING! Love the site!
I’ve done and will continue to do all those things you listed! I’ve not used coupons much in the past couple years but my mother is a coupon queen and taught me well. We had a blast when Big Bear was doing TRIPLE coupons years ago! Now I’ve a best friend who’s gotten into couponing and I realize how stupid I’ve been for not keeping up with it.
my Family are always going through our house and giving things to everyone no limit to what we give furniture, tv’s, food, personal items and feeding the homeless so this will be a big help we live from hand to mouth anyway but can’t help but to want to give
